The Law Library provides:
- A fax service - Please pay in advance; call for costs
- Public access to the internet - One free hour per person per day (legal research only)
- Word Processors - Free to use, call for printing costs
- Westlaw Online - Free to use, call for printing costs
- Electronic Sherpardizing - Free to use; one hour per person per day
- Inter-Library loans - $10 non-refundable fee per title payable in advance
The collection consists of:
- 14,000 hardbound volumes of cases, opinions, and codes
- 28 MCLE audiotapes, books and CD's
- 60 legal periodicals
- A wide selection of handbooks on areas of the law such as family, probate, landlord/tenant, bankruptcy, insurance, labor, real estate, etc.
Law Library materials are located by using an electronic "card" catalog that lists information on what titles the library contains. Ask for assistance in locating materials.
The San Luis Obispo County Law Library is proud to announce that our books now circulate to local attorneys, judges and members of the general public who leave a cash deposit. A copy of our circulation policy is available here.
